Stone & Grain
Stone and Grain opened their first store in Ocean Grove in 2010 when owner Andrea decided to up and move from Melbourne to coastal Victoria.
Fast forward 10 years, and an opportunity to relocate the brand from its original Plaza tenancy to a new site with street frontage and loads of natural light couldn’t be passed up.
Andrea’s main focus for the new store design was not to overwhelm the space. “I like clean lines, uncluttered design, natural light and good floor space for people to wheel a pram through the store.”
She wanted the interior to be well curated and thought out. A place of sanctuary where the staff are happy, there’s a relaxed atmosphere and beautiful considered product displays and pockets of discovery.

STORE
Flagship store Ocean Grove
Stone and Grain has changed their product mix a lot over the years, repositioning themselves from a ‘French Provincial’ homewares store and evolving to meet their customers needs which they found was more skewed towards clothing, accessories and gifts. As such the new store design required wall fixtures for fashion garments, and a new changeroom zone.
We also implemented a fresh new palette to reflect the new direction with neutral, pink and blush tones, a feature green tile and subtle polished plaster and mineral laminates.
